JETS - Light Vehicle Technician
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Joint Engineering Transport Services (JETS) team as a Vehicle Technician, primarily working on light vehicles.
Based in our Stoke-on-Trent, Trentham workshop, you will contribute to making the County of Staffordshire safer while working with a wider team at JETS. You may also attend various sites for Staffordshire Police & Fire to carry out inspection, repair, and maintenance of the fleet.
The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining motor vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles. You will work in a modern, clean, and safe workshop environment with access to the latest equipment, servicing a diverse fleet of various models and vehicle types (ICE, Hybrid & EV).
There will be opportunities to update and enhance your skills through bespoke in-house and external training, including manufacturer courses and accredited personal development programs.
The role requires supporting the on-call rota (currently 1 in every 8 days), with additional on-call payments. It is preferable, but not essential, to be fully qualified to carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards.
