ROLE: Maintenance Technician

Location: WHITEFIELD

Salary: Between 30k-33k (dependent on experience)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:00-5:00 and 1 in 4-6 Saturdays

Richard Abson Group is currently assisting a Prestige Dealership in Chester to find a Maintenance Technician. This opportunity is suitable for a qualified Level 3 Technician or someone looking to break into the main dealership environment and develop their career. With training at some of the best facilities in the industry, you'll learn new skills and become an expert. The company offers a £30,700-£33,700 basic salary plus commission of up to or above £50,000, along with overtime on a first-come, first-served basis.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking maintenance, service, and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company standards.
  • Replacing components, parts, lubricants, and consumables; recording usage.
  • Keeping work areas clean, tidy, organized, and safe from hazards.
  • Completing work effectively within servicing and repair times.
  • Advising and reporting on vehicle faults and servicing requirements, including future servicing/repair needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent qualification.
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment.
  • A current valid MOT license is advantageous but not essential.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.
