What you'll get

• A competitive salary of £38,355 per year, plus a location allowance (£1.93 per hour), shift premium (£4.61 per hour between 8pm-6am) and overtime at time and a half.

What You'll Do

• Routine Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Repairs: Addressing mechanical issues and making necessary repairs on the vehicles.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including completing online documentation and controlling stock.
• Compliance: Ensuring vehicles meet safety standards and regulations.
• Teamwork: Collaborating with other mechanics and team members to meet maintenance targets and ensure fleet reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing mechanical performance issues and implementing solutions.
  
  

What You'll Need

• A complete set of hand tools
• Full UK driving license: Required for driving and operating company vehicles.
• Being proficient in operating standard transmission vehicles
• Fleet diesel and experience with High Voltage - Preferred
• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics: Preferred
• C1, 7.5-tonne licence: While not essential, a C1 licence - Preferred
• Initiative, planning skills, and a flexible, enthusiastic approach
  
  

This is a full-time, permanent job.

You will be able to choose between these two Shift times:

• Late shift 1400 – 2230 (half hour unpaid lunch included in this); or
• Nightshift 2200 – 0630 (half hour unpaid lunch included in this)
