Qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance required.
  • 2 years post-apprenticeship experience is essential.

  • Conduct MOT testing to DVSA standards if qualified.

Basic Salary - £37,000
OTE - £47,000

Our client, a busy franchised dealership in Oxford, has the requirement for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their established workshop team. Vehicle Technicians - Mechanics coming back to the motor trade are most welcome.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities

As a Vehicle Technician, responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensure servicing & repairs are carried out to manufacturer standards
  2. Cambelt, clutch, gearbox & engine repairs/replacements
  3. Electrical & mechanical diagnostics
  4. Mechanic warranty repairs
  5. Carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards (if qualified)

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  1. Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  2. 2 years post-apprenticeship experience
  3. Full and clean UK driving licence

Desirable Requirements:
  1. Class 4 MOT licence
  2. Manufacturer accreditations
  3. MOT licence (Class 4 & 7)

Remuneration & Benefits

Basic salary of up to £37,000 DOE + lots of overtime.
On-target earnings of £47,000.
Manufacturer training programme.
EV/Hybrid training.
Opportunity to qualify as an MOT tester.
