Vehicle Technician - Classic & Prestige Cars

Location: Kimpton
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm
Salary: 38k + overtime & benefits

We're a long-established, independently owned garage specialising in the repair and restoration of one prestigious marque - both classic and modern. With a small, expert team and a global reputation for excellence, we work on some of the most iconic and valuable vehicles in the world.

We're now looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team and play a key role in restoring these exceptional vehicles to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Servicing and repairing classic and modern vehicles
  • Full mechanical rebuilds engines, gearboxes, suspension, brakes, etc.
  • Electrical fault-finding, repairs, and wiring
  • Stripping, cataloguing, and rebuilding vehicles as part of restoration projects
  • Minor fabrication, corrosion repairs, and component painting
  • Interior and chrome refits, cosmetic detailing
  • Road testing and quality control
  • Basic admin: job records, parts lists, and occasional customer updates

What we're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 2+ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance
  • Solid experience in a hands-on mechanical role
  • Keen interest in classic cars (knowledge of older systems is a bonus)
  • Additional skills in welding, fabrication, machining, or basic paintwork are a plus
  • Comfortable using basic IT (Word, Windows)
  • Full UK driving licence (max 3 points acceptable)
  • A steady work history and a proactive, team-focused attitude
