Vehicle Technician
Location: Guildford
Salary: £41,000 basic per annum plus bonus
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm, Saturdays on rota 8:00am to 1:00pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client’s main site in Guildford. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle makes and models. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and proficiency with diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Vehicle Technician responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  3. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Vehicle Technician requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
