• Full UK Driving license required.
• MOT license is beneficial but not essential.

Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Mercedes Benz Grimsby. The hours of work are 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch, and Saturdays 1 in 4, 8am - 2pm on a rota basis.

Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset.

Basic salary ranges from: £31,290 - £39,634

Bonus / OTE ranges from: £39,690 - £48,690

Role And Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and diagnose all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring high standards first time.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Understand and prioritize Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• Operate additional systems such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
• Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Collaborate with workshop team members to learn and share knowledge.

About You

• Candidates from all backgrounds with experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in independent garages, fast fit centers, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is relevant.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; working towards is acceptable.
• Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
• MOT license is beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving license required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a commitment to high standards, are essential. We provide the training and facilities to support your career progression.
