Join Our Team as a Level 3 Vehicle Technician!

  • Salary: GBP22.00 per hour (GBP48,048 per annum) Permanent Role Average 42 hrs/week Mon Fri, Working hours between 7.30am-6pm

RMS Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a client in the automotive industry, renowned for excellence in vehicle storage, inspection, maintenance, dispatch, and transportation. We re now looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated workshop team, helping us maintain exceptional service standards.

What You ll Be Doing:

Working under the direction of the Workshop Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to manufacturer standards
  • Performing routine servicing on a variety of vehicle models, including light commercial vehicles
  • Stripping down, checking, and replacing faulty parts and assemblies
  • Testing, reassembling, and adjusting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Keeping workshop tools and equipment clean, organised, and well-maintained
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Participating in training and skill-enhancement workshops
  • Supporting other workshop duties as required

Please note: This is a hands-on role in an outdoor automotive compound. You ll be working in all weather conditions with PPE provided, and walking moderate distances throughout the day while moving vehicles.

What We re Looking For:

  • L3 Qualification (or equivalent) in light vehicle maintenance and repair essentiaL
  • Over 22 years old, with a full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points, no DR10s) required for insurance purposes
  • Able to commit to the rotating shift pattern
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive and flexible attitude
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices, and willingness to comply with procedures
