You will work with advanced diagnostic tools and participate in engine rebuilds, dyno testing, and performance enhancements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of German vehicle platforms, especially VAG.
• Level 3 (or equivalent) qualifications.
• Experience with diagnostics, engine rebuilding, and performance tuning.
• Own tools required; site provides access to specialised equipment.
• Enthusiasm for high-performance vehicles and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing engines and vehicle systems on high-performance cars.
• Conducting engine rebuilds, tuning, and modifications.
• Using diagnostic tools such as VCDS, Launch, and Autel.
• Performing routine servicing and general maintenance tasks.
• Assisting with dyno testing and engine builds.
• Maintaining high workmanship standards aligned with customer expectations.

We are currently recruiting for a Performance Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable high-performance automotive business located in Edenbridge, Kent. This role is ideal for an experienced technician with a passion for tuning, repairing, and building high-end vehicles, predominantly on VAG platforms. The Performance Vehicle Technician will join a team dedicated to excellence in automotive performance and precision engineering.

Duties

• Diagnosing and repairing engines and vehicle systems as a Performance Vehicle Technician
• Conducting engine rebuilds, tuning, and modifications on high-performance and project cars
• Utilising diagnostic tools including VCDS, Launch, and Autel for accurate fault finding
• Performing routine servicing and general maintenance tasks
• Assisting with dyno testing, engine builds, and mechanical performance improvements
• Ensuring high standards of workmanship in line with customer expectations and industry best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role within the motor trade
• Extensive knowledge of German vehicle platforms, especially VAG, is essential
• Relevant qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent
• Experience with diagnostics, engine rebuilding, and performance tuning
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as part of a team
• Own tools are required; access to specialised equipment on site is provided
• Enthusiasm for high-performance vehicles and technical challenges
