Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is assisting a workshop in Dunstable to recruit a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester. Salary up to £35,000 basic plus bonus and additional benefits, with Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:30pm and Saturday work on a rotational basis paid at hourly rate.

Your role will involve maintenance, service and repair of motor vehicles to the highest standard, with opportunity for hybrid/EV training. Prior dealership/garage experience is preferred and manufacturer training is provided.

Qualifications

• IMI/NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in motor vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in a car dealership or independent garage.
• MOT tester course Class 1, 2, 4 or 7 completed.
• Experience on commercial vehicles/LCV and cars.
• Hybrid/EV training preferred; training provided if not.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, service and repair of motor vehicles to the highest standard.
• Carry out all work completely and effectively as a Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic.

Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester

Location: Dunstable

Salary: up to £35,000 basic plus bonus and additional benefits

We have an opportunity for a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join my client’s workshop in Dunstable. Due to increased workload, they are looking for an additional Vehicle Technician to join the team.

• Monday to Friday 8:00am-5.30pm
• 30 minutes lunch
• Saturdays every third 8am-1pm this will be paid additionally at the hourly rate
• Holiday 22 days + bank holidays
• Training on the manufacture

Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role are:

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ City and Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance / Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / City & Guilds Automotive
• Have experience working within a car dealership or an independent garage/ car supermarket
• Completed your MOT tester course class 1, 2, 4 or 7
• Experience of working on commercial vehicles/ LCV / cars
• Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but if not training will be provided

• As a Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic you will carry out all work completely and effectively
