Job description

ROLE - VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location - Derby

Salary - 32k-40k

Richard Abson Group are currently assisting a Prestige Dealership in Derby to find them a Vehicle Technician. This opportunity would suit a qualified Technician or someone looking to break into the main dealership environment and develop their career. With training at some of the best facilities in the industry, you'll learn new skills while becoming an expert. The company is offering 32k basic salary with commission of up to or above 40K.

Daily responsibilities:

  1. Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs, following manufacturer standards and guidelines to ensure reliability and safety.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or required replacements.
  3. Provide expert technical advice to customers when necessary, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  4. Maintain exceptional customer service standards, fostering trust that leads to repeat business and referrals.
  5. Collaborate effectively with the service reception team and workshop control for seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
  6. Offer support and guidance to fellow Technicians in the workshop, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate will have:
  1. NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification.
  2. Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work.
  4. Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
  5. Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment.
  6. A current valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential.
  7. Must hold a full UK driving licence.
