Job summary

Perfect Placement in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a reputable family-run independent service centre. The role offers a competitive salary up to £45,000, overtime options, and excellent career progression within a busy workshop.

Benefits include 25 days + bank holidays, in-house training, a workplace pension, and Monday–Friday hours with no weekend work. NVQ/IMI Level 3 or equivalent is preferred, MOT licence is advantageous, and a UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• MOT licence is advantageous; MOT-only technicians are welcome.
• Valid UK driving licence with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnosis, service and repair on cars and vans efficiently.
• Accurately diagnose faults and document vehicle conditions.
• Adhere to quality standards and Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through workmanship.
• If qualified as MOT tester, perform MOT tests per MoT standards.
• Support team to meet workshop targets and deliver excellent service.

Our client, a reputable family-run independent service centre in Cheltenham, is actively seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their expanding workshop team. Vehicle Technician Duties:

• Carry out diagnosis, service, and repair on a variety of cars and vans efficiently and accurately
• Ensure faults and vehicle conditions are correctly diagnosed and documented
• Adhere to quality standards and follow Health & Safety procedures diligently
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
• If qualified as an MOT Tester, perform MOT tests in line with Ministry of Transport standards
• Support team members to meet workshop targets and deliver exceptional service

Requirements:

• Ideally, NVQ/IMI Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair; Vehicle Technicians with strong “on the job” practical experience will also be considered
• MOT licence is advantageous; however, MOT-only Technicians are welcome to apply
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong team player with a committed attitude and high-quality work standards
• Motivation to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
