Qualifications

  • Experience in the motor industry, whether with brands or independents.
  • Possession of a full and valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
  • Conduct vehicle services in accordance with manufacturers guidelines.
  • Perform authorized repairs and complete all relevant paperwork.

Job description

Vehicle Technician
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: OTE up to £51,600 (basic £30,000 - £45,000; plus OTE up to £6,600) + extra 2k for EV Qualification
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5.30pm with 30 minutes lunch, Saturdays on rota 8am to 1pm (1 in 3 as overtime)

My client is recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician for our client’s specialist site in the Chelmsford area. While working alongside other experienced vehicle technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs.

Vehicle Technician Role:

- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
- Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
- Warranty repairs are per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is complete
- Taking the customers vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
- Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

Requirements
The ideal candidate to be considered for this role will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence.
