Hours

8:00 until 17:30 Monday to Friday, every other Saturday 8:00-12:00.

Salary

Basic - £36,000, Plus Bonus (£42,000)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client’s main branch in Broxburn. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and proficiency with diagnostic tools and software. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars and a commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
3. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
4. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
5. Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
6. Keep a clean and organized work area.
7. Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Requirements

1. Some experience as a vehicle technician and/or relevant, up-to-date qualification.
2. Possession of an MOT qualification is a significant advantage.
3. Pride in your work and great attention to detail.
4. Full valid UK driving license.
5. Stocked toolbox for work.
