We are currently working with a fantastic dealership in the Bath area who are looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician. The candidate must have level 3 qualification, preferably with diagnostic experience, and MOT tester accreditation is a further advantage.

About the role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will report to the Workshop Controller and be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles. You will ensure work is completed in line with the repair process, meet customer expectations, and consider commercial and operational requirements while adhering to high industry and brand standards.

Core Responsibilities:

• Review customer requirements provided by Service Advisors/Executives and ensure sufficient information is available to complete repairs.
• Identify parts needed to resolve customer issues and order them as required.
• Estimate labour operation times to support Service Advisors/Executives in providing accurate customer estimates.
• Perform repairs according to the workshop manual.
• Document job cards clearly and accurately.
• Conduct Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL) on every vehicle.
• Coordinate with relevant staff to optimize time and material usage.
• Record and clock all time spent in accordance with warranty procedures.
• Conduct road tests and maintain personal quality control.
• Protect customer property by using covers at all times.
• Adhere to the Insurance Code of Business guidelines for the sale of Approved Warranty and Assistance.
• Stay updated with technical knowledge through training and manufacturer publications.
• Meet service KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and utilization.
• Take ownership of personal development to meet business needs.
• Complete the Bronze Qualification standard within 1 year of employment.

Hours – 40 hours per week, with paid overtime at 1.5x basic rate.
