About The Role

Richard Abson Group are currently helping a well known brand in seeking a Service Advisor to join their customer-focused aftersales team. As the first point of contact for service customers, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering a high level of customer service, while coordinating vehicle servicing and repairs efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and handle service enquiries in person, by phone, and online
  • Book vehicles in for service and repair work, managing the daily service diary
  • Provide accurate estimates and explain work required to customers
  • Liaise with technicians and workshop control to ensure timely completion of work
  • Keep customers updated throughout the process and gain authorisation for any additional work
  • Handle invoicing and take payment upon vehicle collection
  • Promote additional products and services, such as service plans and seasonal checks
  • Deal with customer complaints in a professional and proactive manner
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to company processes and manufacturer standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor trade (Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or similar)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good understanding of automotive servicing and repair processes
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Confident using DMS and other booking/invoicing systems (e.g., Kerridge, Pinnacle, Keyloop)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
