Job Description

We require an experienced Paint Sprayer/Technician to operate in our independent Modern Accident repair centre. With new state‑of‑the‑art equipment, finding the right candidate is important to us. A&D Bodyshop is a well‑established family business with over 30 years in the breakdown industry. This is a great opportunity to join a company that prides itself on helping and supporting all local police authorities, major breakdown organisations and their customers in the movement of broken down and accident‑damaged vehicles.

As one of our employees you will be working in a fast‑paced ever‑changing working environment, facilitating the rescue and recovery of our vast customer base. Working hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday and alternate Saturday’s 8am-12pm. (overtime available).

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare (masking and sanding) and spray vehicles to manufacturing standards.
  • Work as part of our paint team.
  • Follow and understand repair instructions.
  • Complete vehicle body repair, surface preparation and spray paint to an exceptional standard.
  • Carry out paint correction to an exceptional standard.
  • Perform quality control checks throughout each stage of the paint process.
  • Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car.
  • Clean and maintain all spray‑painting equipment and personal protective equipment.
Key Skills & Experience Required
  • Flexible work attitude.
  • Trained to NVQ3 in paint spraying or as a technician, ATA accreditation, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
  • Maintain your work area, tools and equipment to a high standard and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong team player continuously working to achieve individual and departmental sales targets.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to targets and deadlines.
