Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Security Installer based in Chelmsford, Essex, to install and service high-end security systems for prestige vehicles. You will wire systems, configure alarms, immobilisers and trackers, and ensure clean, secure installations in a professional workshop environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with automotive electrical work, strong fault-diagnosis skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle security installation or automotive electrics.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience installing aftermarket security devices (alarms, immobilisers, trackers).
• Ability to diagnose electrical and security faults with accuracy.
• Familiarity with safe working practices on vehicle electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure various vehicle security systems (alarms, immobilisers, trackers).
• Conduct wiring, connections and modifications for security installations.
• Diagnose faults in vehicle electrical and security systems and rectify them.
• Remove/refit interior trim during installation and maintenance.
• Ensure wiring is neat, secure and discreet.
• Test and verify functionality after installation.
• Use diagnostic tools and documentation to support fault diagnosis.
• Maintain records of work, parts used and faults diagnosed.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
• Stay informed about evolving vehicle security technologies.
• Keep tools/equipment maintained to high standards.
• Deliver high-quality work to minimise future repairs and enhance customer satisfaction.
