SALARY RANGE: £36,124 to £39,513 plus £5,500 market forces supplement pro rata for hours worked
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent
LOCATION: Stevenage
We have a great opportunity for ideally a proven time-served fitter to work as part of our repairs and maintenance team in our modern Vehicle Repair Shop. The role involves the preparation for MOT testing, for class 4 and 7 and Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) MOT preparation to VOSA minimum standard or be prepared to undertake the necessary training to achieve these qualifications. You will carry out LGV safety inspections at the required frequency. You will also be required to carry out servicing of vans and lorries, maintenance, repair and breakdown work. In addition to this, you may be asked to assist with servicing, maintenance or repair of grounds maintenance machinery including welding. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday as part of a team of five. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to improve their skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
