The role

As a Vehicle Quality Control Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for ensuring that delivered vehicles meet our expected standards for quality, technical specifications, and performance.

Day-to-day, you'll inspect vehicle parts, monitor build activities, and assess pulse line performance to ensure the final product meets defined requirements and acceptance criteria. You'll also ensure that our systems, policies, and practices comply with customer expectations, regulatory standards, and internal business requirements. You’ll also:

  • Working collaboratively with all operational teams, ensuring interfaces are working and there is a cohesive approach across the Project Team to establish a culture of collaboration, evaluation and improvement.
  • Providing quality assurance and where required, audit support to procurement and supply chain to effect a robust, risk-based Supplier Audit program and support Supplier Selection, Contract Let and Supplier Management activities
  • Functional performance of vehicle and all systems and dimensional and assembly inspection
  • Conduct thorough review of the vehicle build quality assurance documents, validating content against the technical specification requirements.
  • Review supplier certification for compliance

This role is full time , 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport.

Essential experience of the Vehicle Quality Control Technician:

  • Demonstrable experience and success in HGV/PCV vehicle maintenance, assembly, inspection and test roles
  • Competent PC user (MS Office packages)
  • A team player with a keen eye for detail and a desire to deliver excellence in a demanding high tempo production environment

Qualifications for the Vehicle Quality Control Technician:

  • CAT C HGV Driving Licence as a minimum

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
