Job summary

BCA Blackbushe is seeking a Vehicle Polisher to join the workshop team in permanent days. You will flatten and polish repaired panels and painted surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish before and after paint application, working alongside experienced Bodyshop professionals.

You will contribute to the paint process, perform quality checks, and support colleagues as required. A Full UK Driving Licence is essential, with at least two years of driving history.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher or similar role.
• Experience using machine polishers and polishing compounds.
• Knowledge of bodyshop repair and paint processes.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Flatting and polishing repaired panels and painted surfaces.
• Removing minor paint defects, dust inclusions and imperfections.
• Preparing vehicles and panels to support the paint process.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets bodyshop standards.
• Supporting Paint Technicians and colleagues across the bodyshop when required.
• Sharing knowledge and offering guidance to less experienced team members.

Job description

Job Role – Vehicle Polisher
Salary – £15.91 an hour / £33,183.80 per annum
Location – BCA Blackbushe
Shift Pattern – Saturday and Sunday + two other flexible days between Monday to Friday
Type of Employment – Permanent

Main purpose of the role

Within this role, you will play a key part in the vehicle preparation and paint process, ensuring repaired panels are finished to the highest standard before and after paint application. Working alongside experienced Paint Technicians and Bodyshop professionals, you'll help deliver a quality finish while maintaining efficiency across the workshop.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Flatting and polishing repaired panels and painted surfaces.
• Removing minor paint defects, dust inclusions and imperfections.
• Preparing vehicles and panels to support the paint process.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets bodyshop standards.

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher, Bodyshop Polisher or Paint Shop Polisher
• Experience using machine polishers and polishing compounds.
• Knowledge of bodyshop repair and paint processes.
• A Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years.
