Job summary

Command in Peterborough is recruiting for an Oven Rectification Technician / Polisher to join a new state-of-the-art vehicle preparation centre. You will polish freshly painted vehicles and rectify defects to a showroom-quality finish.

The role requires experience in polishing techniques and working to high quality standards in a busy bodyshop. You will work day or back shifts, enjoy immediate starts, and benefit from a clear progression path and company pension.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Vehicle Polisher or rectification technician in a high-volume bodyshop.
• Excellent knowledge of polishing techniques, compounds, abrasives and finishing products.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in a busy production environment.

Responsibilities

• Machine polish freshly painted vehicles to showroom-quality finish.
• Rectify paint defects such as dust, runs, silicon contamination and orange peel.
• Flatting and polishing panels with hand and machine tools.
• Inspect paintwork to ensure high quality and liaise with paint/bodyshop teams.
• Follow health and safety procedures in a modern bodyshop.
