Job summary

Greenhous Cold Meece seeks a skilled Vehicle Painter & Prepper to prepare vehicles and carry out paintwork to a high standard. You will ensure finishes meet quality expectations, maintain a clean work area, and follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, filling, masking and priming.
• Carry out paint repairs and full paintwork to a high standard.
• Match and mix paint colours accurately to achieve the required finish.
• Prepare surfaces for a smooth and high-quality finish.
• Carry out polishing and finishing work following painting.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Identify imperfections and carry out remedial work.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and productivity targets.
• Ensure tools and materials are used safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and COSHH requirements.
• Work with team to complete vehicles to a high standard.
• Carry out other reasonable duties to support the business

Job description

Greenhous Cold Meece is looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Painter & Prepper to join our team.

As a Vehicle Painter & Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles to a high standard before painting and carrying out paintwork to ensure vehicles are finished to the required quality. You will take pride in your workmanship and ensure every vehicle is presented to a high standard.

If you have experience in vehicle preparation and painting, have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Hours: 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 47.5 hours per week.

Salary: Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, filling, masking and priming.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Pevious experience as a Vehicle Painter, Paint Technician or Vehicle Prepper.

• Strong vehicle preparation and paintwork skills.

• Good knowledge of paint products, preparation techniques and finishing processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively.

• The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

• A professional and reliable approach to work.

• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop environment.

• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
