Vehicle Painter

Salary: £54,600 per annum (£21 per hour) with an increase on completion of 6 month probation

Hours: 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday, 1 in 2 Saturdays depending on business needs.

We are looking for a Vehicle Painter to join our Team in Trafford. You will have at least 3 years of vehicle painting experience and the ability to paint vehicles to the highest quality. You will be responsible for carefully preparing, priming, painting, and finishing a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality results that meet our insurers' standards. You should have a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of automotive paints and finishes, working efficiently in a modern, fast-paced, clean environment, collaborating as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Paint vehicles to a high standard, ensuring timely completion
  2. Possess a strong understanding of paint processes and techniques
  3. Prepare vehicles by priming and masking
  4. Use RPE and PPE appropriately
  5. Match painted panels to the original colour accurately
  6. Apply the correct amount of paint for optimal results
  7. Inspect and polish finished paint jobs
  8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  9. Work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a vehicle painter in an automotive repair environment
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle painting
  • Strong team player, eager to support colleagues
  • Ability to complete tasks from start to finish within set timeframes
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
