Are you looking for a new and rewarding technical challenge? If you have experience in maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, plant equipment, or HGVs, you are the expert we are looking for!

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified technician to join our team at Stansted Airport. Our client is a market leader in Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance.

Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic - The Role

This is a varied workshop and airside based position where you will play a crucial role in the company's success by offering your mechanical expertise to diagnose and repair aircraft service equipment, such as towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and various specialist vehicles. The ideal candidate will be mechanically skilled and a good problem solver, capable of effectively repairing and maintaining on-site equipment.

Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic - The Person
  • Experience working on light vehicles, HGVs, or plant vehicles
  • City and Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (essential)
You Will Need To
  • Demonstrate your Right To Work in the UK
  • Obtain an airside pass, which requires passing a criminal record check and 5-year history verification
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Provide certifications for all qualifications
Working Hours
  • Week 1: Monday - Friday
  • Week 2: Tuesday - Friday
  • Overtime is available weekly but not guaranteed. On-call rota (1 in 6) must be worked, paid at £10/night, with a minimum of 4 hours paid at x1.5 per call out.

  • Starting salary of £40,000 - £42,000, increasing after probation
