Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to join our on-site team at Aldergrove. The role offers a 37-hour week, tools provided, and opportunities for overtime to support work-life balance.

You will diagnose, service, repair and maintain a range of military and civilian vehicles, with emphasis on safety, accuracy and compliance. A clear path for long-term development within defence and engineering is provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology
• BTEC Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology
• Class 1 REME Vehicle Mechanic qualification

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles
• Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance
• Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards

Education
