Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Taunton

Hours: Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings on a rota - 42.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £36,590 Basic + Bonus (OTE £45,000)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our client’s main dealership in Taunton. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Vehicle Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Vehicle Mechanic Requirements:

• Experience as a vehicle mechanic and a relevant, up-to-date Level 3 qualification
• Take pride in your work
• Attention to detail and an eye for spotting issues others might miss
• Full valid UK driving licence
• A stocked toolbox for work
