Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is assisting with recruitment for a Light Vehicle Mechanic in Milton Keynes. You will perform diagnostics, servicing and repair on a range of vehicles, delivering high-quality workmanship and first-time fixes to a premium brand portfolio.

The role offers a clear career path toward Master Technician level, with training courses provided to aid progression and a generous bonus scheme based on performance.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Time Served Experience would be considered.
• EV experience is preferable.
• MOT testing licence (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, servicing and repair work on a range of vehicles with focus on first-time fixes.
• Work in a high-quality workshop with main dealer or premium independents.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain up-to-date diagnostic skills.

Light Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £35,000-£40,000, OTE of up to £65,000

Interaction Recruitment are supporting our client with their hiring of Qualified Diagnostic and Service Technicians. These are market leading specialists, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a working garage is required. They will put successful candidates through training courses to assist with career progression.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for high-quality diagnostics, servicing, and repair work on a range of vehicles. Whether you're from a main dealer or an independent background, you’ll bring strong technical expertise and a focus on delivering first-time fixes.

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am–15:00pm / 15:00pm-23:00pm. There may be some flexibility on the shift patterns.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Time Served Experience would be considered
• EV Experience is preferable
• MOT testing licence (preferred but not essential)
• Good diagnostic and repair skills
• Experience in a main dealer or high-quality independent workshop
• A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for excellent customer service
