Job Description:

Due to continued growth, my client based in Braintree, Essex, is recruiting for a Vehicle Mechanic to join their team. The successful Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repair, and pre-MOT checks on various vehicles, including HGVs.

Vehicle Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles to ensure all service and maintenance needs are recorded and addressed.
• Use computerized diagnostic tools to identify mechanical faults.
• Complete job cards and report on customer vehicle fleets.
• Perform pre-MOT checks and conduct MOT testing on vehicles.
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and repair as needed.
• Follow health & safety procedures diligently.

Vehicle Mechanic Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with relevant experience.
• Experience working on HGV vehicles is essential.
• Basic electrical knowledge for fault diagnosis and repair.
• Full and clean UK driving license is mandatory.
