Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician at our Wellingborough VMU.

Working hours: Mon - Fri 40 hours per week, 10:00-18:30 or 13:30-21:00. Shifts will be discussed during interview.

Salary: Base pay £20.77 per hour, with premiums for hours worked between 7pm - 10pm, and 10pm - 6am.

Responsibilities:

• Perform service and repair of fleet vehicles according to maintenance schedules.
• Complete service, inspection, and defect reports to ensure vehicle safety and legal compliance.
• Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing.
• Perform ad-hoc repairs and investigate vehicle defects.

Qualifications:

• Relevant vocational licenses, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one).
• Knowledge of automotive and troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy components.
• Experience with welding and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driving license.
