Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician based at our Atherstone HUB.

Working hours: 40 per week

Shift: Available shifts as follows:

  1. Monday to Friday

14:00 – 22:30

22:00 – 06:30

Salary: Base pay £20.77 per hour. Premia paid for hours worked between 7pm - 10pm (£2.23 per hour), and 10pm - 6am (£2.70 per hour).

What you will be doing:

  1. Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties.
  2. Completing signed service and inspection records.
  3. Completing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
  4. Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass.
  5. Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects.

What do you bring with you:

  1. Your skill and applicable licenses our vocational training, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one).
  2. Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing / troubleshooting equipment.
  3. Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components.
  4. Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
  5. Valid driving license.
