Overview

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a renowned International Defence company seeking to recruit a Vehicle Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis at their Middle Wallop depot.

As a Vehicle Maintainer, you will play a vital role within a highly effective team, working with military vehicles such as Land Rovers, MAN SVs, and aircraft refuellers to ensure smooth Army operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general vehicle maintenance and servicing.
  • Drive vehicles as per your licenses.
  • Collaborate with team members and support other trades when needed.
  • Refuel aircraft and operate aircraft towing tractors, including Land Rovers and MAN SVs.
  • Deliver quality service by understanding customer needs and contractual requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering experience (REME Class 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Experience with aircraft refuelling, Oshkosh, and military vehicles; knowledge of MoD practices and JAMES system is advantageous.
  • CAT B driving license.
  • Cat C+E license or willingness to train.
  • ADR qualification or willingness to train.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Middle Wallop
  • Salary: £34,043 per annum
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week with overtime
