A leading company in global trade is seeking Vehicle Maintenance Technicians for their London Gateway Port. We are currently looking for Vehicle Maintenance Technicians to join our team based at London Gateway Port in Stanford le Hope.
We operate 24/7, with shifts lasting 12 hours, including day and night shifts. In a two-week period, you'll work 7 shifts with every other weekend off. Experience in the automotive industry as a Vehicle Technician, HGV, LGV technician, or related roles is preferred.
The primary responsibility of the Vehicle Maintenance Technician is to ensure the smooth operation of terminal activities by maintaining cranes and mobile equipment. Technicians are assigned to asset groups to perform planned maintenance, repairs, project work, and assist with the delivery, inspection, and commissioning of new equipment.
This role involves working with machinery such as quay cranes, terminal tractors, shuttles, and straddle carriers. No two days are the same, ranging from critical repairs to general gear box maintenance.
