Job description

About The Role: To consistently provide efficient and effective vehicle inspection products and services to Manheim's customers. All Manheim vehicle inspectors are responsible for consistently achieving quality and quantity outputs in line with our SLA's and branch targets.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conducting accurate inspections of cars and commercial vehicles in line with Manheim's Standard Operating Procedures and the BVRLA fair wear and tear policy
  • Completing Assured and Scheme Inspections with precision and consistency, meeting defined quality standards and processes
  • Supporting yard operations, including the movement and flow of vehicles, to maintain efficiency across the site
  • Taking high-quality photographs of vehicles, ensuring all images meet our current standards and support effective marketing
  • Managing key storage processes to ensure all vehicle keys are correctly stored, tracked, and traceable at all times
  • Interacting with customers when required, providing clear and professional information about inspection outcomes, and reinforcing the value of our service
  • Syncing and downloading vehicle data promptly to support interdepartmental workflows
  • Prioritising your workload and taking a proactive approach to meet both quality and quantity performance targets
  • Carrying out inspections for Voluntary Termination (VT) vehicles using the adjusted process where applicable

What We're Looking For:

  • Consistent Performance: Proven ability to meet productivity, quality, and SLA targets on a regular basis
  • Technical Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of BVRLA fair wear and tear standards, basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage, familiarity with vehicle makes, models, and derivatives, computer literate - confident using handheld devices and computer systems
  • Team & Time Management: Able to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Communication & Customer Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional and approachable, with strong customer service abilities

Vehicle Inspector, Shepshed, £29,324, 40 hours a week (Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00)
