Job description

As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing reports for insurance companies, checking documents related to vehicle damage, and making necessary amendments. You will conduct market research to determine vehicle values, considering factors like mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and more. Assign salvage categories following ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines. Adhere to Service Level Agreements and attend training on internal report writing systems. This role is remote, with potential attendance at our Head Office or Operation Centre.

What we need from you:

• Membership or willingness to enroll in professional bodies such as MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE; familiarity with insurance claims procedures.
• Ability to interpret vehicle damage and use repair estimating systems.
• Experience with motor vehicles, damage assessment, and repair methods.
• Knowledge of VDA, estimating and valuation tools like Glass’, CAP, Audatex, and HPI.
• Understanding of legal vehicle roadworthiness requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
