As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing an engineer’s report on behalf of insurance companies.

You will check all documents containing information on any physical damage, vehicle details, vehicle images, and other vital information regarding the vehicle, making necessary amendments as required.

You will conduct market research to identify the vehicle's market value, considering factors such as mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and other relevant information. You will assign salvage categories using the ABI Code of Practice and adhere to company guidelines.

You will be aware of our Service Level Agreements and follow the processes to maintain them. Training on our internal report-writing systems will be provided.

This is a remote position, working from home, but you may need to attend our Head Office or an Operation Centre.

What we need from you:

• You should already belong to or be willing to join related professional bodies such as MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE, and be familiar with insurance claims procedures and information requirements for different claim types.
• Ability to interpret vehicle damage levels and consequences, and to use leading computerised repair estimating systems.
• Experience with motor vehicles, familiarity with various damage types and repair methods.
• Knowledge of VDA standards.
• Proficiency with estimating and valuation tools such as Glass’, CAP, Audatex, and HPI.
• Understanding of basic legal vehicle roadworthiness requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
