Job summary

The Exchange in Warrington is seeking a practical Vehicle Fitter / Workshop Assembly Operative to fit racking, shelving and storage into commercial vans. The role offers steady hours, an early finish on Fridays and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity.

Experience in assembly or vehicle fitting is helpful, but hands-on, reliable individuals with a DIY mindset and ability to use hand tools will fit well. Automotive experience is not essential; a manual licence is required to move vehicles on site.

Responsibilities

• Install racking, shelving and internal fittings into commercial vehicles.

Vehicle Fitter / Workshop Assembly Operatives- Birchwood, Warrington - £13.50 per hour - Temp to Perm, We are recruiting Vehicle Fitter / Workshop Assembly Operatives in Warrington to fit racking, shelving and storage systems into commercial vans. This is a hands-on role offering steady hours, an early finish on Fridays and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity.

If you have experience in assembly, vehicle fitting, workshop work, joinery, maintenance, shopfitting or confident DIY, this could be a great fit. Automotive experience is not essential, as long as you are practical, reliable and confident using hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Installing racking, shelving and internal fittings into commercial vehicles
• Using hand tools such as drills, drivers, spanners and rivet tools
• Measuring, aligning and assembling parts to a clean, professional standard
• Moving vehicles around the site when required, over short distances

Pay

Pay: £13.50 per hour | Location: Birchwood, Warrington | Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:45pm, early finish Friday | Contract: Temp to perm, Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:45pm, with an early finish on Friday

Skills and experience required
