Job summary

MPJ Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Engineer to join an established automotive team in Tees Valley. You will maintain, service, diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop safe and in excellent condition.

The role offers a competitive salary (30,000–52,000 GBP DOE) with uncapped bonuses, enhanced overtime rates and flexible working options. Various patterns can be considered to fit around lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Engineer or Motor Vehicle Technician.
• Strong servicing, repair and diagnostic knowledge.
• Ability to interpret manufacturer technical information and repair procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety.
• Professional approach and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed work orders and record repairs, parts used and labour time.
• Perform vehicle testing with diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
• Communicate diagnostic findings to the Workshop Controller.
• Interpret repair instructions and manufacturer specifications.
• Complete routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for handover and ensure safety standards.
