Job summary

The Electrical Systems Engineer role at Evera Recruitment Ltd involves designing and developing low‑voltage vehicle wiring harnesses and electrical systems, selecting components, and supporting integration and validation across the product lifecycle.

You will investigate electrical issues, define test plans, and maintain comprehensive electrical documentation, while applying hands‑on engineering to deliver innovative automotive technologies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with component specification and wiring harness design within automotive, motorsport or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols.
• Experience using DMMs, oscilloscopes and CAN analysis tools for diagnostics.
• Experience with LV and HV PCB design.
• Practical experience modifying, testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on engineering approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low‑voltage vehicle wiring harnesses and electrical systems.
• Select and specify electrical and electronic components to meet system requirements.
• Support the integration, commissioning and validation of vehicle electrical systems.
• Investigate and resolve electrical issues at component, rig and vehicle level.
• Define and execute test plans for electrical systems and components.
• Produce and maintain electrical system documentation.
• Support PCB specification and design activities.
• Analyse vehicle and test data to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
