Job Description:

Expleo is recruiting a Vehicle Electrical Circuit Engineer to join our client, a major Automotive Manufacturer based in Staffordshire, on a permanent basis.

We are keen to speak with experienced individuals seeking an exciting new challenge!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize circuit logic for various applications.
2. Ensure efficient load distribution across electrical systems.
3. Design and implement effective fusing strategies to protect circuits.
4. Develop and test over-current protection mechanisms.
5. Create 2D harness drawings.
6. Manufacture, modify, and repair harnesses in workshop and machine environments.
7. Perform voltage drop analysis to ensure system efficiency.
8. Component selection and development: select, develop, and create drawings for components like pressure sensors, angle sensors, position sensors, displays, lights, wipers, and ECUs.
9. Perform circuit diagnostic problem solving.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in EDS engineering.
• Strong background in circuit logic design, load balancing, and fusing strategies.
• Hands-on experience in harness manufacture, modification, and repair.
• Good understanding of vehicle systems and ability to solve complex circuit diagnostic problems.
• Knowledge of power ratings, diode logic, relay logic, ECU input/output types, ground strategy, potential dividers, and transducers, as well as EMC best practices.
• Experience with Zuken E3 drawing package and CAD 3D drawing skills in NX is desirable.
