Job summary

Brenntag UK & Ireland invites applications for a depot-based Driver in Sheerness to load and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely. You will follow planned schedules and standard procedures while delivering to customers and management with a strong safety focus.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence with CPC, possible ADR certificates, and a commitment to on-time deliveries. Training is available for the right candidate and the company offers a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence with CPC training.
• Multi-drop experience is highly useful.
• ADR certificates preferable; training could be provided.
• Strong customer focus with ability to communicate with customers and management.
• Ability to demonstrate awareness of drivers’ hours legislation and keep good records.
• Contribute to safe operational effectiveness and depot efficiency by following procedures and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials from the Sheerness depot.
• Adhere to planned schedules and operational procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance in all deliveries and vehicle handling.

We are recruiting drivers to be based out of our Sheerness depot where you’ll be responsible for the safe loading and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. You’ll be working to planned schedules and agreed policies/operational procedures.

What we’re looking for:

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 License (with C+E/C Entitlement), along with current driver CPC training
• Multi-drop experience - extremely useful
• ADR certificates (all classes less 1 & 7) are preferable, but for the right candidate training could be provided
• A strong customer focus and the ability to communicate with customers and management, to deliver the product safely
• Ability to demonstrate great awareness of drivers’ hours legislation and good record keeping skills
• You to contribute to the safe operational effectiveness and efficiency of the depot, through following procedures and working as part of a team, to effect on time deliveries
