Job summary

Charles Trent Limited in Poole seeks a Vehicle Dismantling Technician to safely remove and recycle parts from a range of vehicles in a high-skill workshop. You will identify, dismantle and quality-check parts for resale while adhering to timelines and procedures.

Role operates on a 42.5 hour week, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, reporting to the Vehicle Dismantling Manager. The position requires a mechanical qualification or relevant experience and the ability to work with specialist equipment and power tools.

Qualifications

• Mechanical qualifications (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent.
• Own tools are essential.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and drawings.
• Work safely, in a structured, methodical and tidy manner.
• Experience with dismantling and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply dismantling safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• End of Life Vehicle Dismantling.
• Removing quality required parts.
• Extracting and sorting the different recyclable materials.
• Working on a purpose-built dismantling ramp with specialist equipment.
• Removal of; Doors, Panels, Internal and external components, suspension and powertrain, dashboard and airbags.
• Sort waste materials into recycling streams.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in all areas.
• Ensure daily targets are met.

Job description

Role Profile – Vehicle Dismantling Technician

Purpose: This role is responsible for recycling, and safely removing, key parts from a wide range of vehicles, from Corsa’s to high value and performance vehicles for second hand resale within a highly skilled team. The main purpose of the role will be to identify and remove selected parts in a purpose-built workshop with state-of-the-art equipment. The parts will need to be quality checked and removed in a safe and specific manner, in line with company timelines and processes.

Location: Poole Site, BH12

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm

Reporting to: Vehicle Dismantling Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Applying dismantling safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• End of Life Vehicle Dismantling
• Removing quality required parts

Experience & Essential Qualities:
