Job summary

Charles Trent Ltd is seeking a motivated Vehicle dismantler in Poole. The role involves dismantling end-of-life vehicles, safely extracting high-quality parts for reuse and resale, and sorting recyclable materials.

You will follow strict safety and environmental procedures and contribute to daily targets within a supportive team. Ideal candidates have a passion for cars, Level 2/3 vehicle mechanics qualification or equivalent hands-on experience, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle end-of-life vehicles and remove quality parts.
• Extract and sort recyclable materials and comply with recycling streams.
• Follow safety, quality and environmental procedures during dismantling.
• Meet daily dismantling targets and contribute to a smooth-running team.
• Prepare high-quality parts for reuse and resale (doors, windows, interiors, powertrain, dashboards).

Job description

VEHICLE DISTMANTLER

We’re looking for someone passionate about cars and hands-on mechanical work to join our production line team in Poole. Ideally, you’ll have experience in vehicle dismantling or mechanics and enjoy working with vehicles and parts. You’ll dismantle end-of-life vehicles, remove quality parts, and ensure materials are recycled safely and efficiently, contributing to a fast-paced, rewarding, and sustainable operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Swing shift pattern, 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday): 6:00am-3:00pm one week / 3:00pm-12:00am the next.


• Following strict safety, quality and environmental procedures while dismantling vehicles


• Removing and preparing high quality parts for reuse and resale

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for cars and vehicle mechanics


• Level 2 or 3 qualification in vehicle mechanics or equivalent hands on experience


• A team player with excellent communication skills


• Ability to work methodically, safely, and efficiently


• Problem-solving mindset and keen attention to detail


• Confidence using hand tools and power tools


• Knowledge of dismantling techniques and mechanical systems
