We are currently seeking a dedicated Vehicle Dismantler to join our team at our Gloucester site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dismantle vehicle parts according to job requests, locate appropriate vehicles, assess work required, and organize forklift operations to move vehicles.
- Identify and remove parts, ensuring no damage, and check quality, model numbers, etc.
- Complete relevant records, mark up, tag, and bag parts with stock numbers and vehicle details, and store in designated areas.
- Label parts with engine size, year, make, and model, store properly, and record on the database.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide advice, obtain information, update records, and resolve issues.
- Use database systems to obtain information on parts as needed.
- Strip and scrap vehicles following company standards and procedures.
- Remove engines, gearboxes, and other large parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Ensure safety when cutting vehicle sections, including removing oils and fluids.
- Open locked vehicles and locate electronic components such as ECUs and airbags.
- De-pollute vehicles by removing and storing hazardous fluids.
- Assist with export orders and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Perform other duties as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience with cars, either mechanically or as a hobby.
- Knowledge of checking oils and handling hazardous chemicals.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Forklift license (counterbalance and telescopic, rough terrain).
- Own tools provision.
- Ability to lift heavy weights safely.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

This role requires passing DBS, finance, right-to-work, and reference checks. We conduct random drug and alcohol screening to ensure safety.
