Job summary

FMG RS in Cardiff is seeking a Vehicle Damage Assessor to inspect damaged vehicles, assess the extent of the damage, estimated repair costs and timescales, and determine the correct repair method.

You will liaise with insurers, customers, engineers and technicians to explain the repair approach, work with Audatex, and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience using Audatex and a solid workshop background.
• Ability to identify correct repair methods and costings.
• Familiarity with insurers, manufacturers literature and bulletins.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess full extent of damage, costs and timeframes.
• Determine the correct prescribed repair method and prepare estimates.
• Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authority to repair at estimated costs.
• Communicate repair methodology clearly to customers, engineers and technicians.
