Perfect Placement UK Ltd on behalf of our client, an established automotive bodyshop in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, seeks an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor. Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience, with a 42.5-hour Monday–Friday week and flexible hours.

You will assess vehicle damage, prepare repair estimates, liaise with insurers, and work closely with customers and workshop staff to ensure high-quality repairs.

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a bodyshop or accident repair setting.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and accident damage assessment.
• Experience in producing precise repair estimates.
• Good understanding of insurance repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of vehicle damage following accidents.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating systems.

• Liaise with insurance companies and relevant parties to facilitate repair approvals.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding damage, repair timelines, and progress.
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues to develop feasible repair plans.
• Monitor ongoing repairs and adjust estimates as additional damage is identified.
• Ensure all repairs align with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records, ensuring all systems are up to date.
• Contribute to delivering vehicles to customers within agreed timescales.
