Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor for their Gateshead area. You will inspect accident damaged vehicles, determine repair costs and timelines, and work within pricing and contract guidelines. The role requires Audatex experience and a detail‑oriented, team‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• ATA qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (preferred) OR a strong background with proven experience in the role.
• Experience using estimating software (ideally Audatex).
• Ability to work efficiently and to a high standard in a busy workshop environment.
• A great team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident damaged vehicles and assess the full extent of damage, costs of repair and time frames.
• Ensure pricing schedules and repair methodologies and key information for each contract are adhered to.
• Work within guidelines to meet workflow targets.
• Use computerised estimating systems.
• Liaise with insurance and accident management companies with updates or queries.
• Contact customers to provide updates.

• You will undertake the inspection of accident damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair and time frames.
• You will ensure our work providers menu pricing schedules and repair methodologies and key information for each contract is being adhered to on each job.
• You will work within our guidelines to ensure that the workflow volume meets targets.
• Use computerised estimating systems.
• Liaise regularly with insurance and accident management companies with any updates or queries relating to relevant jobs.
• Contact customers to provide updates
