Overview

Vehicle Claims Technician required in Thame, Oxfordshire.

  • Up to £34,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience).
  • 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm paid as overtime.
  • Hybrid role with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Our client, a leader in mechanical breakdown warranties, roadside assistance, and maintenance contracts for vehicles with over fourty years' experience, operating in nine European markets, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Claims Technician to operate from their office in Thame.

Working either for our client's office in Thame or remotely from home, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assess vehicle breakdown and warranty claims from our client's customers and provide a professional decision based on your expert knowledge to reject or accept the claim.
  • Build strong relationships with main dealers, workshops, and repairers.
  • Customer-oriented and able to establish great relationships with corporate clients.
  • Be able to use your own experience to make a professional decision alone.

To be considered for this Vehicle Claims Technician role, you will ideally be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair with over 5+ years of practical experience as a Vehicle Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Technician who is looking to come off the tools but still stay within the motor trade! Our client is also open to considering candidates with no employment experience as a Vehicle Technician, but who have extensive experience working with the mechanics of vehicles and vehicle parts, creating an overall strong automotive technical background. Overall, you will be computer literate (use of internal systems, telephone, and emails, sending letters), be a great communicator, and be customer service oriented.
