A vehicle manufacturing company in Manchester is seeking a Vehicle Builder with assembly experience. Qualifications

  • Previous assembly experience as a Vehicle Builder, Bodybuilder, or similar.
  • Experience with hand tools, bench saws, and measurement equipment, used safely.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to meet project timelines and standards.
  • Read engineering drawings and work from work orders.
  • Install insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies.
  • Electrically terminate lighting, switches, and tail lifts.
  • Seal joints, floors, and roofs with silicone and gel coatings.
  • Cut metals, woods, and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Support the business by undertaking additional projects or duties as directed.
  • Comply with company H&S, maintenance, and quality procedures to ensure safe working practices.
  • Maintain good personal timekeeping and conduct according to policies.
  • Adhere to safety, regulatory, and company policies and changes.

Job Overview

Salary & Benefits
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Monday to Friday, 45 hours/week, 07:00-17:00 (14:30 finish on Fridays).
  • Hourly rate: £14 to £15.60, depending on experience.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Additional benefits to be discussed at interview.
