Job description

We are looking for a talented and driven Vehicle Architecture Lead Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, based in Warwick. This role is central to the engineering integration process across vehicle architectures, ensuring technical excellence and future competitiveness of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop vehicle technical specifications and attributes across multiple architectures.
  • Lead resolution of complex, cross-functional engineering challenges, balancing competing requirements to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Analyse current and emerging technologies, as well as competitor products, to influence strategic direction.
  • Coach, review, and delegate tasks to junior engineers.
  • Solve difficult and often complex engineering problems with a strategic and collaborative approach.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-functional systems.
  • Passion for vehicle development and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey technical information.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as presentations and spreadsheets.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in whole vehicle development and validation.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Proven track record in leading technical issue resolution.
